LaPorte Team Members Named to Capital Region 500

Capital Region 500 Honorees

LaPorte is honored to announce that Eric Bosch, President and CEO, and Wendi Berthelot, Director of Audit and Assurance Services, have both been named to the Capital Region 500 list by the Baton Rouge Business Report. The Capital Region 500 list, produced after nearly a year of research and review, “highlights key influencers representing a broad spectrum of sectors in business, government, and nonprofits.”

Eric has served in a variety of leadership roles with the firm. His previous firm leadership roles include Executive Committee member, Healthcare Industry Group Co-Leader, Chairman of the firm’s Compensation Committee, and former leader of the Financial Services Industry Group.

Bosch’s commitment to his professional life is equaled by his desire to make a positive impact in his community. He is a founding member of the charter school JCFA (formerly known as the Jefferson Chamber Foundation Academy) and over the years served as a board member, treasurer and chairman of the Finance Committee. Other civic organizations where Eric is active include the Health and Education Alliance of Louisiana, Jefferson Dollars for Scholars, Jefferson Toastmasters, and the University of New Orleans Accounting Advisory Council. Eric is a former faculty member for the Delgado Community College 10,000 Small Business Program, which is funded by Goldman Sachs, and serves as an adjunct professor for the University of New Orleans in its Healthcare Management program.

Wendi Berthelot is an influential leader who lends her strategic vision to a variety of organizations and businesses through her work as a business advisor to her clients as well to the many nonprofit organizations with whom she serves. Her work with clients goes beyond mere audits. She understands her client’s individual situations and looks for both immediate and long-term solutions to help them achieve their goals. Outside of work, Wendi brings that same drive to her community. She is chair of the board for the Manship Theatre and serves on the boards of Helix Community School and Junior Achievement. Her work with Manship Theatre is especially meaningful since her input helped guide the theater through both the pandemic as well as a major renovation to the administrative offices.

Established in 1946, LaPorte has over 185 personnel in New Orleans, Baton Rouge, Covington, and Houma, LA, and in Houston, TX. The firm offers a full range of services, including accounting, audit and assurance, business consulting, and tax planning and compliance. For more information, see our Firm Profile.
