For the Greater Baton Rouge Business Report, ‘Best Places to Work’ is an award program that recognizes companies of workplace excellence that are known for their efforts to recruit and retain the best and brightest employees. The program is administered by independent firm Workforce Research Group who assesses participating companies through two methods: a questionnaire about company policies, practices, demographics and benefits and a survey of randomly selected employees on nine key focus areas including role satisfaction, work/life balance, leadership and training.
This is the fourteenth time LaPorte has appeared on New Orleans CityBusiness’s list of ‘Best Places to Work,’ which recognizes the city’s top employers. Honorees are chosen based on a questionnaire of benefits offered, coupled with an online survey of employees. The core focus areas of the survey are leadership and planning, corporate culture and communications, role satisfaction, work environment, relationship with supervisors, training, development and resources, pay and benefits, and overall engagement.
