ABOUT WENDI
A leader in the LaPorte Baton Rouge office, Wendi has been with the firm since beginning her professional career in 2003. She takes a hands-on approach to all phases of her engagements to promote client success. Wendi has provided services such as financial and compliance audits and reviews, due diligence consulting, and internal control reviews to her clients. She has worked with privately held companies, real estate clients, nonprofit organizations, and for-profit companies with complex structures and multi-level consolidations.
REAL ESTATE
The co-leader of the LaPorte Real Estate Industry Group, Wendi’s experience includes financial audits of real estate property development and management companies. She has also worked with real estate investment companies and funds, including consulting with a nonprofit to establish accounting practices for their fund. Wendi also has owned her own property management company in the past. She has assisted clients with historic tax credit certifications and has overseen HUD audit engagements.
FINANCIAL SERVICES
Wendi has served broker-dealers, investment companies, SEC-registered entities, and community-based financial institutions. Her services to her financial clients include audits, assistance with quarterly SEC reviews, and due diligence examinations in connection with mergers and acquisitions. Wendi is a member of the LaPorte Financial Services Industry Group.
NONPROFIT
A member of the LaPorte Nonprofit Industry Group, Wendi has conducted financial audits, operations reviews, and internal control reviews for multiple nonprofit organizations. She has served some of Louisiana’s largest and most complex nonprofits, including foundations, schools, and professional organizations. In addition to her work for LaPorte, Wendi’s volunteer experience includes consulting and oversight for nonprofits.
