ABOUT MELANIE
Melanie began her professional career in 2014 with LaPorte where she serves corporations, S corporations, partnerships, LLCs, and high wealth individuals. She also has experience with filings for employee benefit plans and welfare benefit plans.
NONPROFIT
Melanie serves a variety of nonprofit organizations including private foundations, hospitals, business leagues and private charities, and has experience related to tax compliance and preparation of the Form 990. Melanie is a member of the firm’s Nonprofit Industry Group.
REAL ESTATE
Melanie has extensive experience with real estate clients including residential and commercial real estate developments, hotels, and commercial leasing. Beyond tax compliance and planning, Melanie has experience in transaction structuring, acquisition and disposition planning, entity of choice, and cost segregation studies. Melanie works effectively with tax attorneys, qualified intermediaries for 1031 exchanges, financial advisors, accounting staff, and others. Melanie is a member of the firm’s Real Estate Industry Group.
