ABOUT JORDAN
EMPLOYEE BENEFIT PLANS
Leader of LaPorte’s Employee Benefit Plan Services Group, Jordan has audited a variety of employee benefit plans, including 401(k)s, 403(b)s, and defined benefit plans. He has also guided multiple organizations through first-year EBP audits. In addition, Jordan has performed compliance reviews of plans not subject to annual audits. In those reviews, he has identified areas of noncompliance with plan documents and ERISA laws, and he has seen that the plan is meeting filing and disclosure requirements. With the various recordkeepers and custodians he has worked with, he has audited employee benefit plans that hold investments ranging from common stocks to investment contracts with insurance companies, as well as self directed brokerage accounts.
Jordan has attended the annual AICPA Employee Benefit Plan Conference. Through the AICPA Employee Benefit Plan Audit Quality Center, he has access to many valuable resources related to benefit plan audits and best practices.
