ABOUT DAVID
David began his professional career in 2012 and joined LaPorte in 2014. Over the years, he has performed financial and compliance audits of clients, including those in the nonprofit, financial services, manufacturing, and construction industries. David manages and is involved in all aspects of his engagements. He has performed operations reviews over various cycles of the financial reporting process and assisted clients with incorporating best practices and internal controls into their processes and procedures.
David has performed risk advisory services for various industries as well, including financial institutions, construction companies, and retail companies. He has provided outsourced internal audit staffing, reviews of internal controls and processes, and data analyses. David is lead professional at LaPorte for guidance on IDEA Data Analysis Software.
CONSTRUCTION
As a member of the LaPorte Construction Industry Group, David provides audit services to various types of construction companies doing business in Louisiana and Mississippi.
FINANCIAL SERVICES
David assists his financial services clients from planning to reviews. A member of the Financial Services Industry Group, his clients include community-based financial institutions, broker-dealers, investment companies, and SEC-registered entities.
In addition, he has performed Bank Secrecy Act audits, internal audits, compliance audits, and loan exams. Prior to joining LaPorte, David worked with a regional CPA firm where he was the senior in-charge of that firm’s financial institution clients.
