Director of Tax Services
Sam serves as a Director of Tax Services for LaPorte. With over 30 years of experience he serves clients in a variety of industries. His areas of practice include tax, business consulting and audit. He provides a full spectrum of tax services with specialties in estate planning, partnerships and real estate.
Before joining LaPorte, he started his own firm in 1979 and practiced in this manner or with other partners until forming Smith, Huval & Associates, L.L.C. in May of 1993. In 2004 Smith, Huval & Associates, L.L.C. merged with LaPorte to create the largest independent accounting and business consulting firm on the Northshore.
