ABOUT RICHARD
Richard joined LaPorte in 2018, where he provides outsourced controllership/CFO services, accounting services, and business consulting services to clients in a variety of industries. He has over 20 years of public accounting experience in the Greater Baton Rouge area, providing audits, reviews, compilations, and accounting services to nonprofit organizations, governmental entities, financial institutions, real estate companies, construction companies, and law firms.
Richard’s experience also includes providing services such as assisting with back office accounting; tax compliance, including sales tax, payroll tax reporting, and property tax reporting; cash management; accounting procedures; and other related accounting issues.
As an active participant in Client Accounting Services conferences such as the RSM US’s CAS/Outsource Round Table, Boomer Consulting Group – Business Transformation Circle, QuickBooks® Connect events, and Scaling New Heights, he brings forward current trends and best practices for those looking to expand their technology stack.

Richard works with a variety of professional services clients. His focus is on offering services such as month-end and period-end accounting services, reconciling books, and financial statement analyses. As a QuickBooks Online Certified ProAdvisor, Richard brings a wealth of knowledge to assist his clients with the many facets of professional service accounting issues.
REAL ESTATE
With his knowledge of both the real estate industry and relevant accounting practices and software, Richard consults and works closely with his real estate clients to assist with all of their accounting service needs. He is a member of the LaPorte Real Estate Industry Group.
