DIRECTOR, AUDIT AND ASSURANCE SERVICES
ABOUT BRYAN
Bryan has over 30 years of audit and business consulting experience during which he has served governmental, dealerships, nonprofit, financial services, and general business clients. He provides broad-based business advice to help clients comply with standards and regulations and address the life cycle of their needs. Bryan serves in a concurring review role on many of the firm’s audit engagements. He began his professional career in 1982.
DEALERSHIP SERVICES
For over two decades, Bryan has provided assurance and consulting services to automotive and equipment dealerships and, therefore, understands the intricate accounting for the industry which includes inventory valuation and sales incentives, etc.
FINANCIAL SERVICES
For over 15 years, Bryan has performed audits and concurring reviews for small- to mid-size automobile warranty and property and casualty insurance companies. His past experience includes providing assurance services to savings and loans and community banks.
NONPROFIT
Bryan has substantive experience in serving education clients including public school systems as well as parochial, charter, and private schools. He serves in the roles of audit engagement director, concurring reviewer, and business consultant. He assists clients with meeting the ever-changing needs of the business environment.
PUBLIC SECTOR
A certified government financial manager, Bryan has been designated as the firm’s audit quality partner for the AICPA’s Governmental Audit Quality Center. He is responsible for adherence to the Center’s membership compliance requirements. He is a former leader of the LaPorte Public Sector Industry Group and continues to remain an active participant. He has conducted numerous audits and consulting engagements for state agencies as well as parish government entities; municipalities; fire, water, and sewer districts; nonprofit entities; and recreation districts.
Bryan provides guidance in the development of audit programs used in evaluating internal controls and testing for compliance with specific federal and state requirements. He regularly consults with the Office of the Louisiana Legislative Auditor on governmental audit and accounting issues and the implementation of new state compliance guidelines for a number of state and local audits. In addition, Bryan provides technical concurrence with the other directors in the LaPorte public sector audit practice and collaborates with independent audit firms on governmental auditing standards.
