SENIOR MANAGER, ACCOUNTING SERVICES
ABOUT NIKKI
Nikki serves a variety of industries and services, including construction, professional services, public sector, trucking, and boat brokerage companies, among others.
She assists her clients with financial statement preparation, accounting, budgeting, payroll, sales tax, cash management, software training, and other related accounting issues. Nikki also prepares compilation reports, compliance reports, and quarterly/annual payroll and sales tax returns. Specifically for her boat brokerage clients, she assists with the setup of unique accounting systems to allow for proper tracking of vessel activity.
In addition, Nikki has been instrumental in developing the firm’s cloud-based accounting services and is co-champion of the Accounting Services Outsourced Accounting Strategic Initiative Group. In this role, she helps build the firm’s expertise in onboarding of outsourced accounting clients and software training and implementation.
Nikki is an active participant in Client Accounting Services conferences such as the Boomer Business Transformation Circle and the RSM Alliance Advisors Conference. As a QuickBooks® Certified Online and Desktop ProAdvisor, she also participates in QuickBooks® Connect events. Nikki’s public accounting career began in 2006, and she joined LaPorte in 2010.
CONSTRUCTION
Nikki consults and works closely with clients in the construction industry. She assists with the setup of unique accounting systems to allow for proper tracking of jobs, the preparation of percentage of completion work-in-process schedules, and the preparation of both percentage of completion and completed contracts financial statements.
PROFESSIONAL SERVICES
Nikki has a deep knowledge of the many facets of professional services accounting issues. Her professional services clients include architects, physician practices, and ancillary services, among others.
PUBLIC SECTOR
Nikki is an active member of the LaPorte Public Sector Industry Group. She understands revenue streams such as ad valorem taxes, grants, sales tax, and the fund-accounting aspect of governmental entities. Nikki serves a variety of public sector clients, ranging from special service districts to special purpose government and discrete component units of the State of Louisiana. In addition to compilation reports and agreed-upon procedures, she also assists her governmental clients with their budgeting processes and special reporting requirements.
