For family offices, globalization and digitalization have enabled family members and office executives to work and play in different corners of the world. After all, anyone can send emails from New York, London, Singapore and beyond. But the jurisdiction of a family office matters for many reasons besides proximity to the family’s assets and investments. Additionally, while a family office headquarters can be in one’s home country, establishing a subsidiary or branch in another region could also be advantageous. Having a subsidiary can provide advantages with regard to tax treaties and cultures. Join RSM for a discussion about why the location of your family office is important, how its location can help your family meet its multigenerational goals, and steps you can take to determine if relocating your family office is right for you.

In this webcast we will cover:

  • Why jurisdiction domicile is an important concern
  • What regulatory considerations should be top of mind
