LaPorte Sehrt Romig Hand CPAs Announces Rebranded Name and Logo

LaPorte Sehrt Romig Hand CPAs is officially changing its corporate identity to LaPorte CPAs & Business Advisors. The name change, which is effective immediately, was announced by William ‘Ted’ Mason, CEO and president of the firm. The firm has also redesigned its corporate logo. LaPorte was established in 1946 as two-person independent accounting firm in Metairie, Louisiana. Since then, the firm has grown into one of the largest independent accounting and business consulting firms in the region, with a staff of more than 160 and offices in New Orleans, Houston, Baton Rouge and Covington. LaPorte has been recognized as a “Top 200 Accounting Firm” by INSIDE Public Accounting and one of the “Best 100 Accounting Firms to Work for” in the United States for the last three years by Accounting Today. “As we approached our 65th anniversary, we made the decision to update our name and corporate image, honoring our heritage while affirming our evolution as a growing and progressive business,” states Mason. “Many of our clients already refer to us as LaPorte; we decided to recognize the unity and simplicity of that identity. As we continue to grow and expand our services, our name and corporate identity will be short, direct, and memorable,” he explains. The firm’s previous name recognized its earliest directors: John LaPorte, John Sehrt, Clinton Romig, and James Hand. The firm rebranding also includes redesigns of the corporate logo (shown above or attached), advertising, and the website, www.laporte.com, which will debut today.
