Cheryl Haspel, a director in LaPorte’s Audit and Assurance department, has been selected as one of New Orleans CityBusiness’ ‘Women of the Year.’
Haspel is one of 50 recipients recognized for their success in business and contributions to the community. ‘Women of the Year’ honorees represent innovative leaders who are making waves with their energy, ideas, achievements, and commitment to excellence.
During her 32-year career, Haspel has impacted people of different ages and interests on professional, community, and personal levels. She is a leader in the firm’s Energy and Financial Services Industry Groups and LaPorte’s International Services Group.
On the community level, her reach has been broad and continues to extend beyond mere memberships. With each organization or project, Cheryl has stepped into leadership positions – as chair of Junior League’s Read for the Record and treasurer for its Harvest Cup Polo Classic; board member on the Partners in Giving Golf Charity; spearhead for the Covington practice’s community service project for The Children’s Advocacy Center’s Hope House; and Finance Committee member of the Northlake-Mandeville Rotary’s, to name a few.
Haspel was honored as a CityBusiness MoneyMaker in 2017.
