Allison Duke, LCPA Women to Watch: Emerging Leader

LaPorte CPAs & Business Advisors is proud to announce that Allison Duke, Director of Audit and Assurance Services, has been awarded the prestigious Women to Watch: Emerging Leader award by the Society of Louisiana CPAs (LCPA). This award recognizes outstanding women in the accounting profession who are making significant contributions to the industry and their communities.

Allison’s recognition as an Emerging Leader is a testament to her leadership, commitment to the accounting profession, and unwavering dedication to her community. Having joined LaPorte after gaining invaluable experience with a Big Four firm and in industry, Allison quickly distinguished herself as a key asset to the firm. Her strong technical skills and client-focused approach have greatly benefited her clients, who appreciate her empathetic and insightful problem-solving methods.

Allison’s commitment to nurturing the next generation of accounting professionals is another reason she stands out as an emerging leader. She plays an active role in LaPorte’s recruiting efforts, frequently presenting at Nicholls State University and participating in accounting panels for Beta Alpha Psi. Additionally, Allison has been a driving force within the South Central chapter of the Society of Louisiana CPAs, where she currently serves as chapter Immediate Past-President.

Mentorship is at the heart of Allison’s leadership philosophy. She invests considerable time and energy into guiding less experienced team members, creating an environment where professional growth is both encouraged and celebrated. Her inclusive and empowering approach has made a significant impact on her team, helping them excel in their roles and advance in their careers.

Allison is also deeply committed to serving her community. She serves on the board of the Houma-Terrebonne Chamber of Commerce, where she contributes her financial acumen to help local businesses thrive. Allison is a recent graduate of the Leadership Terrebonne Class of 2024, a program that develops strong community leaders by addressing the most pressing issues facing the parish.

“Allison’s dedication to her clients and passion for serving her community is evident in everything she does,” said Eric Bosch, President and CEO of LaPorte. “Her eagerness to keep learning and sharing her knowledge with others sets her apart as a leader in our firm.”
