Dr. Laura G. Murillo, president and chief executive officer of the Houston Hispanic Chamber of Commerce, has announced that Douglas Hidalgo has been elected 2016 chairman of the Hispanic Chamber’s Board of Directors. An audit and assurance director with LaPorte CPAs & Business Advisors, Hidalgo served as board treasurer and has been a member of the Executive Committee since 2012.
Serving with Hidalgo on the 2016 Executive Committee are the following recently elected or returning Houston Hispanic Chamber of Commerce members: Chair Elect Juanita Romans, Managing Principal, The Romans Group; Immediate Past Chairman Armando Perez Senior Vice President, H-E-B; Treasurer Ivan Rodriguez Zerrate Vice President Global Operation Organization, BP America; Secretary Mario Rios President, Nation Waste, Inc.; and Parliamentarian Diva Herazo President, Biomedent, Inc.
