The Forbes’ America’s Best-In-State list is “a compilation of the finest CPAs active in public practice, culled from a collection of candidates sourced through independent nominations and recognitions from numerous associations of CPAs. Those nominated were rated on a range of weighted criteria, including expertise, innovation, thought leadership, experience, and service to the community and to their profession.”
Eric has decades of public accounting experience providing accounting and auditing services to financial institutions, manufacturing firms, energy service companies, governmental entities, healthcare and other nonprofit organizations, and mid-sized, family-owned businesses. He previously served as a faculty member for the Delgado Community College 10,000 Small Business Program and as an adjunct professor for the University of New Orleans in its Healthcare Management program. Eric was elected President and CEO by the shareholders of the firm and assumed his duties in that role in December 2021. He was named to the “MoneyMaker” list of honorees by New Orleans CityBusiness in both 2015 and 2024.
Allison began her career in 2004 at a Big Four accounting firm and joined LaPorte in 2015, where she provides audit and assurance services to clients in industries such as construction, energy, and employee benefit plans, co-leading the firm’s Energy Industry Group. She is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the Society of Louisiana CPAs and serves on the boards of the Bayou Country Children’s Museum and the Houma-Terrebonne Chamber of Commerce. She is also a former president of the LCPA South Central Chapter and a member of the South Central Industrial Association. Allison was honored as a Women to Watch: Emerging Leader by the Louisiana Society of CPAs in 2024.
