At LaPorte, our employees are more than just part of the team—they’re the heart of everything we do. Each individual brings unique skills, experiences, and passions that drive our success and enrich our workplace culture. In our “Faces of LaPorte” series, we’re shining a spotlight on the talented individuals who make LaPorte an exceptional place to work and grow. Through their stories, we aim to celebrate the diverse backgrounds, achievements, and contributions of our team members, giving you a closer look at the people who power our company every day.

Taylor Boudreaux, a manager in the tax services department at LaPorte’s Houma office, has built a rewarding career over nearly seven years with the firm. Starting as an intern, Boudreaux’s journey reflects the firm’s commitment to fostering talent and professional growth. She was initially drawn to LaPorte by the firm’s values and its prominent presence on her college campus, which sparked her interest in joining the team. As her career has progressed, she has found great fulfillment in the firm’s dynamic work environment, diverse client base, and collaborative culture.

Boudreaux’s relationship with LaPorte began in 2017, when she was a junior in college. After connecting with the firm through her first internship, she returned for two more rounds of internships, which solidified her connection to the firm. “I started interning here as a junior in college, and I stayed on for two more internships,” she shares. By the time she graduated in 2018, LaPorte recognized her potential and offered her a full-time position, further affirming the strong fit between her and the firm.

Her role in the tax department offers a diverse range of tasks, making no two days the same. “I could be reviewing tax returns, doing tax planning, or handling notices from the IRS or various states,” Boudreaux explains. Her work also includes unique projects such as assisting nonprofits with obtaining tax-exempt status. This variety, coupled with the opportunity to help clients navigate their challenges, is what Boudreaux finds most fulfilling. “My favorite thing is being able to help others. While accounting might not seem like a profession centered on helping people, it’s incredibly rewarding. We have the chance to make a real difference in a company’s success,” she says.

Outside of work, Boudreaux has a personal achievement that sets her apart: she participated in the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade in high school. “I was in the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade with my dance team. We had to audition to be a part of it, and it was just an amazing experience,” she recalls. “Being part of the parade you watch every year on Thanksgiving Day was a bucket list item for me.”

Boudreaux’s commitment to LaPorte goes beyond her professional responsibilities. She is deeply motivated by the firm’s collaborative and supportive environment. “LaPorte values collaboration across teams and departments to achieve shared goals,” she says. “It provides a family-like atmosphere while still being a regional firm.” The relationships she’s built with her colleagues are a key part of what makes LaPorte special to her. “Some of these coworkers are truly like a second family to me,” Boudreaux shares. “I know that, beyond work, we can count on each other in times of need.”

Throughout her time at LaPorte, Taylor Boudreaux has experienced both professional growth and the rewarding experience of forging meaningful connections with colleagues. The firm’s commitment to diverse work, collaboration, and helping others continues to make LaPorte a place where Boudreaux’s career thrives.
