At LaPorte, our employees are more than just part of the team—they’re the heart of everything we do. Each individual brings unique skills, experiences, and passions that drive our success and enrich our workplace culture. In our “Faces of LaPorte” series, we’re shining a spotlight on the talented individuals who make LaPorte an exceptional place to work and grow. Through their stories, we aim to celebrate the diverse backgrounds, achievements, and contributions of our team members, giving you a closer look at the people who power our company every day.
Arman Alizadeh, an Audit Manager in LaPorte’s Baton Rouge office, has built a successful career at LaPorte over the past five years. His journey in accounting began with an initial internship at a Big Four firm in Houston, but upon returning home to Louisiana, he sought a more regional firm that aligned with his values and career goals. We are proud to present Arman Alizadeh as one of our “Faces of LaPorte.”
Arman’s path to accounting was influenced by his mother, a CPA, and his natural talent for numbers. However, what cemented his choice in audit was his passion for analytical thinking and providing solutions to clients. “My favorite thing about my job is the ability to critically think and problem solve,” he explains.
As an Audit Manager, Arman’s responsibilities range from engagement setup and initial planning to industry and client-specific engagements. In addition to his technical duties, a significant portion of his role involves mentoring and managing staff and senior auditors. “My day-to-day work is hard to describe as an auditor because it’s not the same most days,” he notes.
One of the most impactful aspects of working at LaPorte for Arman has been the leadership and role models he has encountered. He admires the firm’s directors and senior managers, who demonstrate a strong balance between professional effectiveness and personal well-being. “Before that, I really didn’t have a great vision of what work-life balance looked like in practice,” he says. “Seeing how the directors and senior managers are able to be effective at their jobs while also handling their day-to-day personal lives has been a real big thing to see.”
Arman believes that one of LaPorte’s greatest strengths is its ability to leverage resources across its offices. “A lot of times, there may be problems that arise that one person or one office can’t handle alone,” he explains. “We’re able to work as a cohesive unit to address those problems and accomplish those tasks.”
Arman credits his coworkers and the firm’s commitment to its employees as to why he continues to choose LaPorte. “The things that keep me staying at LaPorte are the people around me and the emphasis the firm places on the employees that work here,” he shares. The supportive and professional environment fosters growth, learning, and a shared dedication to excellence. As he continues his journey in audit, he remains committed to LaPorte’s mission and the values that have shaped his career.
