ABOUT JASON
Jason began his professional career in 2009, working in audit services with a global accounting firm. In 2020, he joined LaPorte. Throughout his career, Jason has provided audit and assurance services to both publicly traded and privately held businesses. He has performed audits, reviews, and compilations for a variety of industries, including construction, manufacturing and distribution, commercial services, oil and gas (oilfield services and exploration & production), and others.
CONSTRUCTION
Jason has deep experience serving general contractor and subcontractor construction companies. His primary focus is on serving mid-market specialty trade and pipeline contractors. Jason understands how his clients’ business cycles work and how they bill and operate. He has assisted his construction clients in adopting new standards such as Revenue Recognition and the Lease Standard. Jason is a member of the Construction Industry Group.
REAL ESTATE
A member of the Real Estate Industry Group, Jason serves as audit senior manager on a large multifamily real estate developer/management company engagement. Among other services, he has assisted this client in adopting the new Lease Standard.
EMPLOYEE BENEFIT PLANS
Jason manages employee benefit plan audits for clients in the construction and real estate industries. These plans range from 100 to 1,200 employees and $5.0 million to $15.2 million in net assets.
FRANCHISEES
Jason has developed substantive experience in the unique accounting aspects of franchisees. He serves on the engagement of one of the country’s largest, with a significant portfolio of fast food restaurants.
