ABOUT GRETCHEN
Gretchen joined LaPorte in 2016, bringing with her nearly two decades of private industry and accounting firm experience. She provides tax services for corporations, partnerships, and S corporations, including tax planning and reporting for complex sales transactions, multistate activities, and tiered partnership structures. Gretchen assists her clients in staying current with evolving tax regulations and guidance and provides timely insights, flow-through entity tax planning, and reviews of accounting method options. She began her professional career in 1998.
CONSTRUCTION
Gretchen has extensive construction industry experience and provides multistate tax consulting and return preparation to a broad range of clients. She assists with look-back planning and compliance and evaluating options for reporting taxable income on construction contracts. Gretchen attends annual construction-specific continuing education courses and is a member of the Construction Industry Group.
DEALERSHIP SERVICES
Prior to joining LaPorte, Gretchen worked for more than 10 years as the assistant controller for a closely held automobile dealership group. In addition to overseeing their accounting functions, she prepared manufacturer financial statements and comparative financial analysis reports, and she also developed internal control procedures for the dealership.
At LaPorte, Gretchen brings this insider’s perspective to the firm’s dealership clients regarding tax planning and consulting services, including C to S corporation studies, and tax planning strategies for multiple-entity organizations, to name a few. Gretchen is a member of the Dealership Services Industry Group.
