Gregory P. Romig, CPA

Greg began his career at LaPorte and has served with the firm ever since. Highly valued by his clients for his attentive service, Greg chiefly focuses on healthcare and nonprofit entities, which also include foundations, governmental entities, and educational institutions. He has served some of the firm’s largest and most complex clients and has worked across a variety of other industries, such as banking, construction, funds management, manufacturing, gaming, and transportation.

Over the years, Greg has established a strong practice, focusing on financial reporting and assurance services. In addition to compliance services, he has provided acquisition accounting, corporate coaching, evaluation of internal controls, and policies and procedures manual development services to his clients.

In addition to audit, Greg’s experience includes services such as:

• Analyses of bond defeasance
• Cost segregation studies of fixed asset groupings
• Determination of compliance with debt agreements and proper accounting for bond issues and construction projects
• Internal control design and compliance testing

Greg is also active in the firm’s recruiting efforts and personnel development with a goal of helping personnel achieve success sooner and develop long-term commitments to their clients, profession, and LaPorte.
