DIRECTOR, AUDIT AND ASSURANCE SERVICES
Eric began his professional career in 1990. He has decades of public accounting experience providing accounting and auditing services to financial institutions, manufacturing firms, energy service companies, governmental entities, healthcare and other nonprofit organizations, and mid-sized, family-owned businesses. Eric serves as a faculty member for the Delgado Community College 10,000 Small Business Program, which is funded by Goldman Sachs, and as an adjunct professor for the University of New Orleans in its Healthcare Management program.
Eric’s clients in the healthcare industry include community-based hospitals, healthcare systems, pharmacies, and a medical foods manufacturer. Although his practice has focused primarily on auditing and accounting services, he has significant experience with mergers and acquisitions. Eric has helped clients with the evaluation of internal controls and the development of policies and procedures manuals. He is a leader within LaPorte’s Healthcare Industry Group.
Eric has extensive experience providing audit and advisory services to community banks, including due diligence examinations in connection with mergers and acquisitions, internal audit engagements, and bank and holding company applications. He has also served SEC registrants with the preparation of initial public offerings and quarterly SEC reviews. Eric is a member and former leader of the LaPorte Financial Services Industry Group. Through his affiliation with the Louisiana Bankers Association, Eric has served as a panel speaker for the CFO Round Table series, addressing the new expected credit loss model. Also, through the 10,000 Small Business Program, he has instructed hundreds of small business owners on how to better understand their financial statements, how the financial statements are linked to each other, and how to assess and project the potential financial impact of growth opportunities.
Eric has decades of public accounting experience serving nonprofit organizations. He has assisted his clients with audits of financial statements, single audits, operational reviews, internal control evaluations, and preparation of nonprofit applications (Form 1023).
Eric provides accounting and auditing services, including single audits, to local governmental entities, including school boards, local municipalities, parish governments, sheriff’s offices, district attorneys, and court systems. In addition to traditional audit and accounting services, Eric assists clients with efficiency evaluations, internal control evaluations, and best practices reviews. He is a member of the LaPorte Public Sector Industry Group.
