ABOUT CHRIS
Chris began his career in public accounting in 2014. As a Senior Manager in the audit and assurance services group, Chris is responsible for providing ongoing assistance to clients as well as overseeing engagement planning, fieldwork, and financial statement presentation. Chris’ client services include planning and performing comprehensive financial statement audits, review and compilation engagements, federal and state single audits, and agreed-upon procedure engagements. He specializes in audits of governmental and not-for-profit entities and has experience auditing professional service and transportation entities.
PUBLIC SECTOR
Chris is a member of the Public Sector Industry Group at LaPorte. His experience in the public sector includes conducting and managing engagements for municipalities, parish governments, courts, coroner’s offices and various special districts. He specializes in the application of Government Auditing Standards and in measuring and reporting on compliance with applicable laws and regulations. Chris also has experience performing single audit compliance testing over major federal and state grant programs in accordance with the Uniform Guidance.
NONPROFIT
Chris is also a member of the Nonprofit Industry Group at LaPorte. During his public accounting career, he has performed and managed audits, reviews and compilations engagements for a variety of nonprofit entities, including charter schools, charitable foundations, and churches. Chris has experience working with nonprofit organizations who report under Government Auditing Standards and nonprofit organizations that meet the single audit reporting requirements.
