IRS Releases New Version of Form 990

The IRS has released a new version of Form 990, the return that charities and other tax-exempt organizations are required to file annually. It now has a redesigned core form that is 11-pages long with 16 supplemental schedules. This new form requires detailed information about the operation and governance of the organization. In addition, it also requires detailed information about executive compensation, related organizations, foreign activities, hospitals, non-cash contributions and tax exempt bonds.
