Steve Romig, CPA, Advisory Director at LaPorte, received the Distinguished Public Service Award from the Society of Louisiana Certified Public Accountants. The award is the highest honor given for public service leadership, impact, involvement and innovation of a Louisiana CPA. Romig currently volunteers as a services assistant with the Harry Thompson Center – aiding New Orleans’ homeless, and also serves as Chairman of the Greater New Orleans Causeway Commission. From helping individual addicts refocus their lives at Bridge House/Grace House, to guiding economic development with JEDCO, Romig contributes to the greater good of the community on many levels.
